Should every kid have to pay into the jar?
Balls keep going over the fence, and the neighbour never gives them back. A new ball costs 10 dollars. Someone has an idea: every kid on the street puts in 1 dollar a month, and the jar buys the new ball — even for kids who never lose one.
What earns a point in this world: Names someone the rule lands on who isn't in the room.

- Anyone could be the one who loses a ball next.
- A dollar a month is nothing. Ten dollars all at once really hurts.
- If only the clumsy kids pay in, there'll never be enough.

- I've never lost a ball. Why should I pay for someone else's?
- Making people pay for something they don't want isn't fair.
- If you kick it over the fence, you should buy the next one.
